Meet The Team

Gail

Office Manager

Apex Family Dentistry is my home away from home. I knew from the first time I walked in the door, that this was the place for me. I immediately had this feeling of family. I told my husband this practice is a gift from God, and this is where I belong. I’ve always held dental practices in high regard. I would not be where I am today without the help of the dental community. I enjoy the satisfaction I receive every day from helping others “get their smile back” and become the beautiful butterfly they are. My favorite thing about Apex Family Dentistry is the Christian vibe. I honestly believe all our employees have servant hearts and it shows. The compassion and care that is given to our patients is evidence of everyone’s belief in helping their fellow man and I’m truly blessed to be a part of it.

On weekends you can usually find me shopping the local boutiques in downtown Apex and Beaver Creek Shopping Center. Two of my favorite things about Apex is walking the streets and checking out all the artisan booths during Peak Fest in May and trying all the BBQ at Peak City Pig Fest in July.

When away from the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and grandchildren, cookouts, playing golf, kayaking, working on wood/craft projects, going to hockey games and vacationing with my husband in Las Vegas.

Khrysta

Patient Concierge

I love how everyone is a family and how close we all are, here at Apex Family Dentistry.

My 3 children, Olivya, Lee and Mason keep me pretty busy. I love going to their baseball games and my daughter’s dance competitions. When not at their sporting events, I love simply spending time with my husband, Lee and children watching movies, baking goodies and cooking.

I also have a Bachelors in Healthcare Administration and I am the office HIPAA Manager.

Carol

Insurance Coordinator

I enjoy working at Apex Family Dentistry as everyone is so accommodating
and caring. I love how I feel like a part of the family going to work every day and working with a team to achieve a common goal. Doctors are highly personable and professional. Employee recognition and customer service is top priority at AFD.

Spending time with family, binge watching Korean dramas, photography. Also, almost every weekend, you can find me at Costco.

I attended Sunrise School of Dental Assisting and received a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, St. Xavier's College.

Gabby

Assistant Insurance Coordinator

The thing I love most about working for AFD is everyone who works here is friendly and are team players. Everyone is always willing to help each other out. Teamwork makes the dream work.

In my spare time I love just hanging out with my family (daughters, Aribella & Karina; husband, Ebelio and our schnauzer mix puppy, Jaz). When I'm not with them, I enjoy reading. My favorite places in Apex are Fresh (Best Ice Cream Parlor), Sushi Iwa, and Downtown Apex.

JoAnn

Dental Assistant

Apex Family Dentistry is my home away from home. I love the support my fellow team members and I have for each other. We all share the common goal of providing excellent dentistry while putting the patient first in a warm, fun, and welcoming environment.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two kiddos and friends, exercising and lifting weights, chilling out beach side and visiting family in MD (Go Ravens!).

Lastly, in 2004, I received my DAII and Dental Radiation Technologist certification from the DANB in MD before moving to NC in 2006. I've been with this practice going on 14 years now.

Josh

Dental Hygienist

I have been in the dental field for over eight years, and the team at Apex Family Dentistry is by far the best that I have been able to be apart of. Apex Family Dentistry is truly a special team that works together and takes the meaning of teamwork to heart.

I enjoy spending time with my family. My wife and I adopted a cat who keeps me busy at home. I am also actively applying to dental school for next year.

I started off my dental career as a dental assistant, which gives me a unique insight as a dental hygienist during routine cleanings. I am S.P.I.C.E certified in infection control, nitrous oxide monitoring, and credentialed to provide local anesthetic.

Unofficially, I am a self-taught balloon animal twister for my pediatric patients. I am also CPR certified.

Holly

Dental Hygienist

At Apex Family Dentistry, we practice high quality dentistry, have a very clean environment, and an extraordinarily friendly staff. On a more personal note, I started working at this practice in 2005. I enjoy catching up with longtime patients (and nice patients I have met more recently) at their hygiene appointments.

I like taking scenic walks, digital scrapbooking, reading, and of course spending time with my family.

I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. I am also CPR – BLS certified and have a SPICE certificate (infection control).

As the OSHA and CDC Officer for the office, I focus on patient and staff safety. I have previous experience working in pediatric, periodontal, and endodontic dental practices, am a Member of the American Dental Hygienists Association and have 24+ years of work experience in the dental field.

Pam

Dental Hygienist

My teammates are an amazing group of individuals that work well together. Good customer service to me is providing the best service I can to my patients with a smile and a great attitude.

I enjoy playing golf and spending time with my husband, two sons and my grandson!

I am a Registered Dental Hygienist and CPR certified.
